Job Announcement

The University of California, Irvine Counseling Center is seeking three (3) dynamic, skilled, committed, multiculturally competent psychologists to join a multidisciplinary setting on a college campus. In addition to looking for generalists, due to the needs of our student population, we are particularly interested in individuals who have special training, interest and/or experience in working with African American/Black Student populations, Latinx/Latino/Latina Student populations, Undocumented Student populations, LGBTQ Student populations, group therapy coordination, use of technology in mental health services, research coordination, alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues, and/or eating disorders (ED).

These full-time career senior staff positions are year-round and exempt. The psychologist position provides a range of counseling and psychological services to students, professional consultation on mental health issues and emergencies to other campus staff and faculty, and conduct outreach/workshops to the campus community. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate with other student services. Successful applicants must have excellent clinical skills, strong organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively interact with other campus agencies.

About the Counseling Center

The UCI Counseling Center has a long history of providing psychological services to the UCI campus community. UCI is a multiculturally rich environment and the Center prides itself on a staff that is competent and diverse. The Counseling Center provides time-limited treatment, assessment, outreach, and crisis intervention to the campus community. The Center is a part of the Division of Student Affairs and has an APA-accredited psychology internship program.
